In a previous post, I mentioned that I had been legally raped. At the time, I was under the influence of drugs when someone entered my home, and I was unconscious. I have no memory of what happened after they came in. When I woke up, I was in the same position as before I lost awareness. I initially referred to it as legal rape because, even though I hadn’t intentionally taken enough drugs to become unconscious, I had put myself in a vulnerable position. However, this was not “legal rape”—it was rape. I was not capable of making any decisions when he penetrated me. Had I been conscious and sober, I would never have allowed it to happen.
