I named this blog in honour of Ben Marshall, who heartbreakingly passed away in 2024. After his death, his sister discovered unfinished blog posts on his computer—entries for a blog he had called Still Sleepless. In those drafts, Ben poured his heart into trying to educate and support families grappling with the devastating reality of chemsex addiction.
I never had the privilege of knowing Ben personally, but his words, his vision, and his courage now live on in my heart. I was one of the lucky ones—I made it through, though I came terrifyingly close to not making it at all.
This blog is my promise to Ben, and to every person still fighting this battle. It is just the beginning. I will dedicate myself to this work, relentlessly, with compassion and without judgement. To anyone reading: I’ve got your back. Always. With nothing but love.
