Repairing the damage

Our bodies have been deprived of hydration, nutrients, sleep, physical exercise, and much more. Below is the system I’ve developed to address some of these issues as I recover. It’s been working for me.

The Skin

My skin is dehydrated. To aid in detoxification, I drink two cups of high-quality green tea daily and consume plenty of water to flush out toxins. I believe internal healing is essential. In the past, I drank green tea for other skin conditions and experienced positive results.

For skincare, I use CeraVe 50 SPF AM moisturizer daily, which contains Vitamin E and ceramides. Additionally, I apply various serums containing Vitamin C, E, and hyaluronic acid under the moisturizer, either during the day or at night. Occasionally, I use a dermaroller to enhance the effectiveness of these products. Every other day, I use an AHA/BHA exfoliant. I assess my skin’s needs daily to adjust my routine accordingly.

I recently had a massage and a facial to feel a bit more rejuvenated. While this is just the beginning, every little bit helps. My skin has aged, my eyes have become sunken, and I’ve lost my previous glow. When my retinoid cream (Vitamin A) arrives, I’ll start using it at night. This will require adjustments to my skincare routine since retinoid cream is potent and may cause irritation if used with other products.

On a positive note, the severe bags under my eyes have significantly improved and mostly disappeared. I will continue with this skincare regimen until I see noticeable results.
