I just spent the weekend in London, and while I was there, two different people warned me not to walk through certain areas at night. I was also told about a new trend where thieves on bicycles are snatching phones right out of people’s hands using extremely sticky gloves—so quick you barely have time to react. Then, on the train home, the conductor announced that there have been incidents of thieves pretending to be passengers, stealing bags, and hopping off the train.
I have to admit, I didn’t feel very safe walking around some parts of London, and I was constantly worried about my phone being stolen.
